If a technician presses the start/stop timer on a job it will trigger the GPS to drop a pin on the location at which the start/stop timer buttons were pressed.

Multiple techs will show up as separate pins

The location permission needs to be turned 'ON' from the device being used to press the start/stop timer buttons in order for GPS to work

On web:

You can see the pins, representing the locations, in the map below the 'Job timer' section.

In app:

You can see the pins, representing the locations, in the map below the tech/team assignment section.

  • The blue pin represents where the Start button was pressed
  • The red pin represents where the Stop button was pressed

Considerations:

  • The total working hours for a tech will be used to calculate pay for technicians/teams
  • Only technicians can press the start/stop timer buttons in app and in web
  • The start/stop time calculates the total time the tech/team worked on a job
  • Multiple techs will show up as separate pins
